"CAPITAL GAINS" FOR TAX PAYERS FROM HIKE IN COST INFLATION INDEX

The Central Board of Direct Taxes has pegged the cost inflation index for 2009-10 at '632', a 'larger jump' compared with the index level of '582' for 2008-09 and '551' for 2007-08.
