Realtors to Insure Title Deeds

The real estate developers now have to compulsorily get the land title deed insured before selling the property. This will mitigate the financial risk of the buyer in case of litigation in future. Ministry of housing has prepared a Cabinet note to the effect with following aims:

• protecting the interest of buyers, and
• encouraging foreign direct investment in the sector.
