COAL INDIA OKAYS COAL IMPORT FOR COs AGREEING TO COST-PLUS MODEL

Coal India's board has approved import of coal for power producers that are ready to accept it
on a cost-plus basis until there is a consensus on the price cooling mechanism in which customers
are charged a uniform average price for domestic and foreign fuel.
