LAND NORMS FOR SEZ

The board of approval at its last meeting settles following SEZ related land issues:

• Minimum land area to be 10 hectares for IT, biotech and gems and jewellery SEZs;
• Minimum built up area to be 1 lakh sq. metres for IT and 40,000 sq. metre for biotech;
• Minimum processing area for multi-product SEZs would be 35% of the built-up area with a minimum development area as 100 hectares while multi-services SEZs should have minimum area of 100 hectares.
