NEW SERVICE NORMS SET FOR BANKS

The following service norms has been set up for Banks by RBI:

• Display product terms & conditions, service charges;
• Acknowledge cash and cheque deposits;
• Not force customers to drop cheques in a box;
• Notify changes in service charges 30 days in advance;
• Compensate for losses for which customers are not responsible.
