IRDA TO LINK COMMISION COMMISION TO SERVICE

Insurance agents earn a commission of up to 40% in the first year of the policy. However several of them do not provide prompt and effective service, such as collection of subsequent premium to the
policyholders. The Insurance Regulatory Development Authority (IRDA) committee may recommend slashing the commission of the intermediaries in the first year of the policy to address these issues.
