ONLY INSURANCE JVS IN SEZS

The Insurance Regulatory & Development Authority (IRDA) has said that insurance firms with 100% FDI in Special Economic Zones (SEZ) cannot be regulated within the country and so should not be allowed. Any disputes arising out of claims will have to be settled by a court outside the country, since the SEZ, by definition, is not included in the domestic tariff area.
